Our life is full of peaks, valleys, tunnels and forks in the road. All of these represent our life’s journey; filled with ups, downs, light and darkness. In the down times and times of darkness it is natural to look for a way out. The key to this in my opinion is to trust that a turning point awaits ahead.
We all know that the darkness can be terrifying. We tend to feel stuck and unable to navigate ahead . We are stuck under a dark cloud, in the rain. We feel like Eeyore.
But, always focus on your journey. Remember the light shines in contrast of light and dark. Darkness does not extinguish light. And as much as I have joked in previous blogs, the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train.
You learn a lot from experience and what gets you through life. When I hit the fork at the end of the road I didn’t grab a spoon and eat a bowl of ice cream either.. only because it was summer and it melted and became a milkshake, though. So.. yep.. I grabbed a straw. But the light still extinguished the dark and I saw the brightness in the situation.
