Yesterday was way overdue. The love of my life and I got to spend a whole day together. Life has been getting in the way.
The day started with breakfast, followed by an early viewing of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. We then went home and got a power nap and headed off to a friends birthday party and then back to the house for some relaxation with another couple who came by to soak in the hot tub.
I knew I have been missing him while we are both busy with work and then drained at the end of the day, but I didn’t realize how much I truly missed our ‘us’ time. It felt good to feel like we were bringing the closeness back to us. One thing that is needed. So, your partnership doesn’t get stale or complacent.
I love the life we have together, our communication is amazing, our love for each other is surreal. And I love the way it feels and how I still get butterflies with a kiss, a touch, or even just looking across the room at him. I often wonder how I got so lucky, while also realizing I finally have the love I deserve.
