If you have ever suffered from it, or continue to suffer from it, you know.. It can be tiring. Anxiety is deafening. You try to calm your thoughts and be happy. You try to stay positive when it is present, but you hear nothing else.
You take a deep breath but it hurts your chest to do so. You lay in the dark but your head is pounding. You try to sleep but everything, even that of which is nothing is trying to consume you. It leaves you feeling alone. Even in a room full of people. Overthinking everything presents and future. Like about those who you ‘Know’ love you, or at least at your best.
And worst of all, it can happen for no reason or all the reasons in the world and there isn’t a damn thing you can do about it. You want to cry but tears won’t flow. Your chest is tight, your head is is swimming. You try to keep it quiet, because after all, it is a….
another silent disease.
