Making memories of ‘us’

A year ago we were in Las Vegas doing the unthinkable… no not that… we were off seeing Helloween. This year at the exact same time we spent the weekend starting off the Open water Divers certification with is Daughter. While he is already certified he did it as a refresher. This is all to not only open the opportunity to give us even more options for adventures but to plan us for a promised trip for the kiddo to go to Hawaii.
While this weekend and the Open Water Divers Certification in the pool was a little strenuous, it was an accomplishment. And in two weeks we get to do it again, in open water at the Scuba Ranch.
Everyday is a new memory and I love the feeling, and it doesn’t matter what we are doing. I don’t care if its just us watching a tv show we are trying to binge watch, a movie we are watching from our favorite child hood past that we are sharing with one another or something bigger as this. Everything is a memory, and everything will be something to look back on.
I am finally with someone who I look forward to being with everyday, Going to bed next to, waking up next to, and even look forward to seeing what facebook has to say happened in my ‘memories’ because they have been nothing but good in the past year with many more to come as it starts to do the 2 year refresh here in just a few short months.
I have someone who accepts me for who I am, who wants to calm my anxieties instead of escalate them, who accepts them even when they are at their worst and has a sense of understanding of how to love a woman who has been to hell and back and still loves and accepts her even as if she has not and just the same. Life is good. And all I can hope is that we continue this journey together.
I will, however, say.. he has brought out this mushy sappy side of me that is all love and ick.. LOL… But I am glad to be sharing all the love that I have to give to someone who deserves it and equally give it in return. And while he may not be perfect, as I am not either, I do believe we have found a way to be perfect for each other.
