What I wouldn’t give for one more chance to talk to you, one last dance of standing on your feet. One more day, or one more text telling me not to text and drive while I am driving. For you to meet the man that completes me and finally see me getting the love I deserve. You would be proud. Proud of him and proud of us as we build a future together. What I wouldn’t give for you to see all that I have become, from a place I was once in. The strength I have gained.
You loved me at my best and even more at my worst. You loved me even when you didn’t have to.
This year you would be turning 76 years of age, but life had other plans for you. I miss you everyday, some a little more than others. I love you, Dad.
